Texas GEAR UP in Action: Youth Congress

Being a leader doesn't come naturally to most, but thanks to the Youth Congress program at Moody High School in Waco, some top-notch TXGU'ers are finding out it doesn't have to. This elite extracurricular club is giving its members an all-access pass to picking up some proper professional skills that include communication, delegation, and collaboration. But it certainly doesn't stop there. With their annual Leadership Conference for Youth Congress and regular volunteer opportunities, these Texas teens are starting to find that they—and the skills they possess—are anything but typical.
